Notice is hereby given that due to a vacancy in office, filing for the Office of Nicollet County Commissioner District 3 (North Mankato Precincts 1, 2, and 3) will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, and close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
The Nicollet County Commissioner District 3 term expires January 6, 2025.
The Special General Election will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. State law requires that a Special Primary Election can be held if three (3) or more candidates file for the open seat.
If three or more candidates file, then the Special Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, and the Special General Election will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
Filings will be accepted in the Office of Nicollet County Public Services, located in the Nicollet County Government Center at 501 S Minnesota Ave in St Peter, MN. Candidates may file either in person or by mail.
