Internship Opportunities

Interns may apply for unpaid internships or volunteer experiences within the Nicollet County Health Human Service Department. 

Programs that may offer internship placement include: 

  1. Public Health
  2. Children’s Mental Health
  3. Adult Mental Health
  4. Child Protection
  5. Family support services
  6. Chemical dependency

Interns will be selected based on the availability and the need within each department.

Application Process

Individuals may apply by clicking this link and completing the Nicollet County Health and Human Services Intern application online.

All applications submitted will be reviewed using the following schedule: 

  • August for the Spring Semester
  • January for the Fall Semester.

Applicants will be contacted by the end of the identified months if their application is selected. Selected applicants will complete an interview with the Program Supervisor for their field of study. 

If selected, the intern will need to pass a background study completed by Nicollet County Human Resources or show proof of another recently completed background study.
