Historic Preservation Commission

About the Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) was created to assist in the administration of the Historic Preservation Ordinance (PDF). The Historic Preservation Ordinance was adopted on May 10, 2011, with the assistance of the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the vote of Minnesotans on November 4, 2008, which is administered by the Minnesota Historical Society. It consists of a 3 member commission appointed by the Nicollet County Board of Commissioners for a 3-year term.

Become a Member

To become a member of the HPC, complete the Historic Preservation Commission Application (PDF) and return it to the Property Services Department or contact the department for an application. Upon a vacancy all applications will be reviewed.
