Regular Board of Adjustment and Appeals meeting dates are subject to change due to holidays and variance requests by members of the public. Meetings are typically held at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:45 pm) on the third Monday of the month at the Nicollet County Government Center Board Room. Refer to the most recent meeting agenda for additional meeting details.
About the Board
The Board of Adjustment and Appeals shall act upon all questions as they may arise in the administration of the Nicollet County Ordinance, including the interpretation of zoning maps, and it shall hear and decide appeals from and review any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official charged with enforcing the ordinance. Such appeal may be made by any person, firm or corporation aggrieved or by any officer, department, board of or bureau of a town, municipality, county or state.
All decisions by the Board of Adjustment and Appeals in granting or denying variances and appeals shall be final except that any aggrieved person shall have the right to appeal within 30 days after receipt of notice of the decision to the district court.
Board of Adjustment and Appeals members are appointed to 3-year terms, for a maximum of 3 terms.
