State Snowmobile Safety Grant to Counties
The purpose of the State Snowmobile Safety Grant is preventing or reducing snowmobile accidents, drowning, and making Minnesota’s snowmobile trails safe and enjoyable. This includes snowmobile law enforcement, response to and investigation of snowmobile accidents, search, rescue and recovery operations, and permitting of events. The project is overseen by county sheriff and is funded through legislatively-directed appropriations.
