Tri-County Solid Waste assists residents, businesses, and communities in Le Sueur, Nicollet, and Sibley counties (in southern Minnesota) to efficiently handle their waste streams. Household Hazardous Waste Facility Season Opening

The Blue Earth County Regional Household Hazardous Facility and Product Reuse Center are opening for the 2022 season on Tuesday, April 5th. The facility’s collection and Product Reuse Center, located at 651 Summit Avenue, will be open:


  • Tuesdays: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 
  • Wednesdays & Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • The 2nd Saturday of each month: 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

These hours are valid until the end of October 2022. Residents may drop-off waste during the above open hours without an appointment.

 

Items accepted at the facility include hazardous wastes from households in Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur Counties, and farm chemicals from Blue Earth County farmers. Proof of residency must be shown upon arrival. Products should be in their original containers, if possible, with labels attached. Examples of items accepted include paints, stains, household cleaners, automotive products, batteries, and yard/garden chemicals. There is no fee for this service.
