Tri-County Solid Waste assists residents, businesses, and communities in Le Sueur, Nicollet, and Sibley counties (in southern Minnesota) to efficiently handle their waste streams. Household Hazardous Waste Facility and Product Reuse Center is Open for Appointments

The Blue Earth County Regional Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility and Product Reuse Center are now in their winter season and open for appointments beginning in December for Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur County residents. The Product Reuse Area will not be open to residents during these winter appointments. Detailed information on winter appointments will be posted on the Nicollet, Le Sueur and Blue Earth County website and Facebook pages in November.  The facility will open again for its regular season in April 2022.

The HHW Facility accepts household hazardous wastes free of charge from residents. Examples of items include paint, household cleaners, yard and garden products, certain automotive products, caulking material, fluorescent bulbs, and aerosols. Please store any hazardous materials (including latex paint) in a warm area during the winter months to ensure they do not freeze.
