Don't let Influenza influence your health: Get a flu shot!An Influenza Tidbit: Influenza gets its name from the Italian word for "influence." In the 15th century, it was thought to be caused by the evil "influence" of the stars. The word influenza was first used in English in 1743 when it was borrowed during an outbreak of the disease in Europe and it is still with us. The difference is that today getting an influenza immunization is an easy and safe way to significantly decrease one's risk of getting the disease if exposed and being influenced by the influenza virus. All local medical clinics hold "flu shot" clinics. Please check the MDH Flu Clinic website for a location nearest you. Help yourself stay well this winter! | Quick Links
