Nicollet County Environmental Services is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of programs designed to protect the County’s various land and natural resources. Programs include:
- Land-use planning to promote orderly development
- Proper management of solid waste
- Septic systems
- Animal feedlots
Environmental Services follows local, state, and federal guidelines to promote, improve, and maintain a great quality of life for our residents and the public at large. Including:
- Protecting public health, safety, and general welfare
- Protecting and preserving agricultural land
- Conservation of natural resources and scenic beauty
- Providing for compatibility of various land uses
- Regulation of appropriate uses of land
