Nicollet County is delegated to administer the Feedlot Program according to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency guidelines and rules. The State legislature provides funding to counties to implement state feedlot regulations; the amount is primarily based on the number of feedlots within the County. Nicollet County is required to meet certain website reporting requirements pertaining to the Feedlot Program as well as the Natural Resource Block Grant as prescribed in Chapter 37 of the 2009 Minnesota Session Law.
