Accessing Death Certificates Death records are accessible in our office for people who died anywhere in Minnesota beginning in 1997. Prior to 1997, we have records for persons who died in Nicollet County.
Requesting Certified Copies To order a certified copy of a death record, you must complete an application and be able to show tangible interest in the certificate you are requesting.
Regular Orders Complete the Death Certificate Application (PDF), sign it in front of a notary public and mail with the appropriate fees to: Nicollet County Public Services 501 S. Minnesota Ave St. Peter, MN 56082
