Home Care Services


Home care service can help you maintain independence at home.  Nicollet County Public Health has a Comprehensive Provider Home Care license issued by the Minnesota Department of Health.

The following services are offered by staff with many years of experience:


HOME HEALTH AIDE (Generally provide a maximum of 3 hours per week)


  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Grocery shopping and pharmacy pick up
  • Assistance with bathing, hair care, and grooming

REGISTERED NURSE


  • Medication instruction and set up
  • Monitor general health, communicate with physician as needed
  • Supervise Home Health Aide
  • Complete a home safety check and offer recommendations (at no charge)
  • Information about other health care services and referral to appropriate agencies


    Paying for Home Care Services


    Home care services may be paid for by a sliding fee based on income (private pay), Medical Assistance, Waiver Services, or Public Health Nursing Clinic.


    Accessibility


    Any eligible person in Nicollet County shall have equal access to home care service.
