Penalties

Due Dates & Avoiding Penalties
If you pay your 1st half and/or 2nd half property tax after the due date, Minnesota state law requires a penalty be added to your tax. The later you pay, the greater the penalty you must pay.

To avoid a penalty, mailed envelopes must be postmarked by the due date to be considered paid on time.
